
May Meeting - "Labor Day"
During this day, group members learn how to use tools safely and familiarize/refamiliarize themselves with a variety of tools while building a low stakes project. Projects that have been built in the past include birdhouses, porch chairs, picnic tables, etc.
By learning the safe and proper way to use power tools, group members feel prepared to do repairs such as room additions, building wheelchair ramps, replacing flooring, replacing siding, and roofing homes.

June Meeting
The preparation for our 10 day mission trip begins with monthly meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to get to know one another with activities that get every member involved no matter their age or experience. Additionally, we learn about the culture of Appalachia, poverty and its effects on the human spirit, and the importance of sensitivity, stewardship, and safety.

Parent Meeting
A meeting will be held for parents to receive the trip itinerary and learn any final details before the trip departure.

Load Vans
Group members will gather to load the vans prior to departure the next morning.

AIA 2025 Trip
The main purpose of this organization is learn the true value of serving others during a 10 day mission trip in July to repair homes for needy families in one of the Central Appalachian states. We depart on a Friday or Saturday morning, spend the weekend traveling, and return on a Sunday after our week of service is complete.

Post Trip Presentation
Group members invite their friends and family to hear about their experience during their 10 days of service.

Group Retreat
The retreat is where all members spend a weekend at Camp Edwards, WI to participate in teambuilding activities and discuss what it means and looks like to live out the Gospel.

Information Meeting
Interested teens are invited to learn more about the goals of the organization, preparation process, and mission trip.
